Typical for the pictures of Doc Nova are his massive and color-intensive styles which create their space in the urban environment. He loves the composition of matt tones in the background of a picture and the harmonized pop-art colors in his letters. The edged - in parts almost static - style is the contrast to the soft figurative motives in the works of 3Steps. This style also appears in the choice of the graphic motives and comic figures which supports his writings in action and form.
The tendency to straight structures is also reflected in his works on canvas and his picture series of stylized paintings, like the NYC-Yellow Cabs.
